Mauricio Pochettino says that Manchester United and Manchester City can buy who they want, but Tottenham cannot.
Speaking to BeIn Sports, Pochettino did not say he was unhappy with that issue, but believes he is competing on an uneven financial playing field.
Tottenham spent money on Serge Aurier, Fernando Llorente, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth this summer, but sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
With United also spending huge money on new players, Pochettino sees the difference between Tottenham and them.
“The difference these days between clubs in the Premier League is that there are clubs, like City and United, who sign who they want and when they want,” Pochettino said.
“Then there are big teams, like us, who sign when we can and who we can.
“It’s the big difference today.”
He’s not wrong, is he?
