Manchester City winger Leroy Sane would join Liverpool if he had the opportunity, according to Danny Mills.
Sane has been a top target for Bayern Munich since last summer, but that conjecture ended in August when Sane suffered a serious knee injury in his first appearance of the season – the Community Shield against Liverpool at Wembley.
Earlier this month Sport Bild reported that Bayern Munich had made a derisory €40m (£36m) offer for Sane after reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Germany man.

Reports on Tuesday claimed Liverpool reportedly made an enquiry recently about Sane and a potential transfer next summer.
And despite the report claiming that Liverpool have already hit a dead end with Sane preferring a move to Bayern, Mills reckons that Sane would jump at the chance to join the Reds.
Mills told Football Insider: “Clubs do not want to sell to their immediate rivals and that is normally the biggest problem.
“If Liverpool want Sane I am pretty sure he would go there given the opportunity. Why wouldn’t you?
“We have seen players do far worse. It is not a Manchester United-Liverpool or a Leeds-Manchester United. The rivalry is not of that ilk.”
