Mikel Arteta has warned Matteo Guendouzi “some things have to change” for the 21-year-old to have a future at Arsenal.
The midfielder was left out of the Gunners squad for the third straight game as his side eased past Norwich 4-0.
Guendouzi hasn’t featured since grabbing Neal Maupay by the throat in Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton.
The Frenchman was reportedly bragging about how much he earned compared to the Brighton players during the game.
The former Paris Saint-Germain man was enjoying a decent season up to that point – but has made our oversung ‘heroes’ of the season list.
Speculation has been rife since then that Guendouzi’s future at the club hangs in the balance, with Arteta unhappy with his attitude.
And the Arsenal boss has insisted he needs to make some changes if he is to be restored to the squad.
When asked why Guendouzi was left out again, Arteta said: “It is the same reasons as last week.
“Some things have to change and nothing has changed.”
